Walter S. Carell III, LMT 20737

Walter began sharing massage therapy in 1993 in a practice in Flathead County, MT focusing on combining elements of acupressure, polarity therapy, reflexology and Swedish massage.

His formal education in bodywork has consisted of 770 hours through the massage therapy program at Lane Community College, one of the oldest massage training programs in the USA. He has a keen interest in research and through continuing and distance education has studied the methodology of orthopedic massage therapy, neuromuscular therapy, craniosacral therapy, soft tissue release, direct myofascial release, connective tissue massage, myoskeletal alignment techniques and ayurvedic therapies while residing in India.

Walter has an understanding of the athletic approach with the training and competition component—he was USATF champion in 1982, winning the Utica Boilermaker 15 km race in the 13 & under division. Subsequently he was a freestyle mogul skier and road cyclist.

More thoroughly he understands the healing, rejuvenation and meditative approach which is the crux of massage therapy.  

He resided eleven years in India, 10 years continuously, to research and study subtle systems of meditation and neuromuscular reeducation which has provided the equanimity and concentration to perform massage therapy at a refined level.
